After being accepted into the revolutionary Ajna project, Liz Madder, Henry Chan, Cath Schneider, and Sarah Loveheart are moved to a new section of St. Dymphna’s Psychiatric Hospital, where life is more comfortable and the staff more attentive and pleasant to deal with. There, using the drug proniropol, they enter into their dreams, to fight their personal demons as super heroes, in phase two of the Jungian psychology based drug trial.
