With a subtle humour, Gabrielle Bell documents the details of her mundane, below-minimum-wage, 20-something existence in Brooklyn. Her simple, unadorned drawing style, heavy narration and biting wit chronicles transient roommates who communicate only through post-it notes and aspiring artists who sublet tiny rooms in leaky, broken-down border-house lofts crawling with bugs, cats and bad art.
